We’re excited to share an exciting, permanent, full-time opportunity for a Senior Library and Council Services Assistant and are seeking a resilient and enthusiastic individual to step into the role! He angitūtanga: The opportunity Based at Central City Library, this is a permanent 38-hour position, with a variable roster (including one evening and one weekend day) We open seven days a week, so flexibility is required. You will be joining the Central City Hub team, taking on a role in our frontline library service, including delivery of council services, helping support staff in our exciting day-to-day operations - where we can see upwards of two thousand people through the door each day – and supporting the team with our focus on hauora and community well-being across the Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero - Auckland Central City Library, the Central City Hub, and our central city community. You will support the team to deliver outstanding customer service while also taking on senior duties within the team. This 38-hour role is vital for connecting our communities and whānau with services and programmes in the Local Board libraries. This role will have a focus on delivering engaging services and programmes for tamariki and rangatahi across the Local Board area. You’ll support the Senior Librarian – Children and Youth in planning and delivering creative, inclusive programmes both in-library and through outreach to schools, early childhood centres, and community groups.
