Join City of Moreton Bay as a Senior Library Assistant and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

We’re looking for three Senior Library Assistants to support the operations of our Arana Hills, Albany Creek and Bribie Island Libraries and help deliver engaging programs and services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service, including loans, returns, reservations and memberships
  • Assisting customers with digital technologies such as mobile devices, eReaders and online resources
  • Preparing, promoting and delivering engaging library programs and activities for the community
  • Maintaining library collections and providing reference and reader advisory services.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for team members who are passionate about providing an exceptional service to customers!
Bringing experience in a library setting, you will be well adept at delivering quality collections, programs, reference and reader advisory services. You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to engage constructively and support customers to meet their needs.

As the library environment can be fast paced and heavily customer focused, you will be able to

  • make decisions and manage your time effectively
  • uphold professional conduct and professionalism
  • encourage a positive working environment
  • easily navigate and use databases, internet and online resources, social media and digital technologies such as mobile devices and eReaders

You will hold a valid Qld Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or be eligible and willing to obtain prior to commencement.
