Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As a Senior Lifeguard, you’ll actively monitor aquatic facilities, respond to emergencies, and ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the pool area. You’ll also assist with programs and events, promote the facility, and provide excellent customer service. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Understanding of good customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to relate well to people of all ages.
  • Experience in customer service (desirable).
  • New Zealand Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (desirable).
  • Workplace First Aid Certificate (desirable).
  • Confidence in rescue techniques and first aid.
  • Ability to monitor aquatic activities and ensure safety.
  • Flexibility to assist with other duties during busy periods.
  • Strong communication skills and high level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and improve.
