We are seeking an experienced Senior Lighting Designer to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors’ degree in Architectural or Theatrical Lighting Design, Architecture, or Interior Design.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the field of architectural lighting design.
  • Knowledge of lighting terminology, technology, and basic calculations including AGI.
  • Experience with drawing production, specification writing, detailing, calculations, presentations, and renderings.
  • Highly proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite.
  • Excellent design sensibility.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Works well with others.
Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate in the development of design concepts with staff, partners, and clients.
  • Prepare presentation materials to explain these concepts to our clients.
  • Develop the design concepts into a detailed design which is thoroughly worked out, including technical details, calculations, etc.
  • Prepare documentation including drawings, details, fixture specifications, schedules, etc.
  • Review construction-phase submittals and questions from contractors.
  • Perform field visits during the construction stage to evaluate the work, direct the aiming of lights and the programming of lighting control systems.
  • Train junior design staff.
