David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit a Senior Lighting Specialist for their offices in São Paolo, Brazil. Position: Senior Lighting Specialist Location: São Paolo, Brazil Employment type: Full-time Remuneration: Base salary About the role. We are looking for a responsible, technically skilled, and motivated individual with a passion for lighting in audiovisual, film, and television environments. The selected candidate will join the lighting department, supporting the setup, operation, and maintenance of professional lighting systems in both studio and on-location productions, under the supervision of the Head of Lighting. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, organize, and set up lighting equipment on set based on technical plans and instructions Assemble and position lighting gear, including Fresnels, LED panels, fluorescent tubes, HMIs, ballasts, dimmers, modifiers, and support systems Manage and maintain lighting cables and DMX connections, ensuring proper labeling, coiling, and functionality Assist with focusing and adjusting lighting setups during rehearsals and live recordings Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues related to lighting equipment Support inventory management, maintenance, and organization of all lighting assets Follow safety protocols and maintain clear communication with the team on set. REQUIREMENTS: Fluent in English (at least B2) and Native/fluent Portuguese, with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication Basic to intermediate knowledge of professional lighting systems for film, television, or live events Experience assembling and disassembling technical equipment (academic or professional) Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow technical instructions in fast-paced environments. Physical ability to lift, move, and handle equipment safely Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Desirable: knowledge of electricity, DMX signal control, light metering, or cinematography concepts.
