We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Linux Admin to join the Westpac Middleware & Oracle Hosted Platforms – Infrastructure Team. This position is dedicated to ensuring Operational Excellence across the Oracle Banking Platform, with a particular emphasis on the administration and support of Oracle Private Cloud Appliance and associated Linux environments (OEL or RHEL). As part of this team, you’ll work across some of the bank’s most critical systems within a supportive, collaborative, and growth-focused culture. We value innovation, continuous learning, and teamwork, both from a technology and people perspective. What do I need? Over seven years of Oracle Engineered Linux or RHEL experience. More than seven years of hands‑on operational support for PCA or Exalogic racks, including patching and upgrades across compute nodes, ILOM, control stack, IB switches, and ZFS storage, supporting over 600 VMs across production and non‑production environments. Over three years of hands‑on experience with WebLogic OEM12c/13c for monitoring PCA and Exalogic machines, including alert and event tuning. Automation experience with Chef, Ruby, Bamboo, or Jenkins, with Chef as mandatory. More than five years of experience in a technology corporate and matrix environment. Monitoring tool experience with Splunk, Grafana, or Oracle OEM. Strong networking knowledge. Why join us?
