Core Linux Administration, OS Administration RedHat, SuSE Backup and restore using NetBackup Disaster recovery activity during the plant maintenance Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions. Execute Patching Create any documentation / SOP's for the team Execute hardware calls as and when needed Be able to dispatch tickets to the team or perform queue management as an added responsibility Opportunity to mentor team members, and be available for Critical and High severity incidents Excellent knowledge of Linux/Unix System Administration, while supporting a large complex set up. Ideally knowledge in Virtualisation technologies (VMware), Veritas Cluster, Xen Server and/or Cloud. Fluent in English, both spoken and written - German language skills nice to have Profound experience in providing technical guidance to multilingual teams. Work closely with Automation/DevOps, networking, and security teams to support infrastructure needs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively. Experience in large infrastructure environments. Excellent Client handling skills Know-how with system hardware. ITIL process know-how. Certification in SUSE or as RHCE an advantage.
Responsibilities
The Senior Linux System Administrator will be responsible for core Linux and OS administration, including monitoring system performance and executing patching. They will also create documentation and standard operating procedures while mentoring team members and managing critical incidents.
