Almazan Law is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Defect Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team in our Tampa office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Florida construction law and have a proven track record of successfully handling complex construction defect cases. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a thriving practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction defect litigation.
  • Proven experience conducting and defending depositions is required.
  • Demonstrated experience representing clients in mediation is required.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a significant caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research databases and standard office software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Independently manage and litigate construction defect cases from inception through resolution, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
  • Represent clients in mediation and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex construction law issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the court.
  • Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and support staff.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current developments in Florida construction law.
