Key Responsibilities:

• Transportation & Storage
  • Coordinate with the factory and sales department for the readiness of the goods.
  • Contact carrier or freight forwarder representatives to arrange and issue shipping instructions and delivery of materials.
  • Complete documentation regarding clearance, freight forwarding transportation, bills of landing.
  • Organize the shipping/ receipt of products, preparing the delivery of products to and from the Warehouse with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and time management.
  • Dispatch freight for delivery and arrange for pickups locally and internationally.
  • Address problems with order flow or shipping delays and quality-control issues such as damaged or improperly packed goods.
  • Co-ordinate the storage and transportation of materials and manage the timely flow of customer orders.

• Supply Chain Management
  • Acquire competitive freight charges (Air, Road, and Sea).
  • Monitor logistical market prices and the driving spend reduction by negotiating with suppliers on cost and service level agreements for overseas supplies.
  • Request quotations for imports and exports from suppliers.
  • Negotiate with pre-selected suppliers to determine the best commercial terms (Price, specifications, warranty, delivery, and payment terms) and assist with the clearing of invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain liaison with suppliers.
  • Assist in the improvement of operational efficiencies in processing customer orders using both systems and physical improvements.

• Regulatory and Compliance
  • Adhere to shipping/receiving and regulatory compliance procedures.
  • Comply with local country customs law, regulations, and excise legislation by ensuring all goods distribution is accompanied by the correct paperwork for exporting and importing to customers.
  • Complete daily checks on inbound and outbound shipping orders and receiving logs.
  • Record shipment data such as weight, charges, and damages.
  • Notify manager of problems such as damage, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper compliance and adherence to Export /Import administration regulations.
  • Develop procurement policies and procedures for appointing external suppliers.
  • Ensure service offering is compliant with local and international laws and regulations regarding transportation and storage.
  • Maintain day-to-day operational files for tracking, delivery status, payments, reports, and audit purposes.
  • Resolve any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution.
