Job Description About the Role This position plays a critical role in ensuring full compliance with Malaysian and international trade regulations, with a strong focus on Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) compliance and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program management. You will also oversee end-to-end logistics operations, contributing to efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Trade Compliance Leadership Act as the company representative with Malaysian Customs, MITI, and regulatory bodies Manage import/export permits, HS classification, export licensing, and Certificates of Origin Conduct compliance audits, maintain accurate records, and monitor regulatory updates Develop and deliver internal compliance training programs LMW & AEO Oversight Ensure full adherence to LMW requirements and customs duty regulations Lead implementation and continuous improvement of AEO standards Maintain accurate product classification databases in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) Logistics Operations Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, including freight forwarders and 3PL coordination Ensure timely and accurate shipping documentation Drive warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and KPI performance Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with logistics partners Continuous Improvement Identify and implement process improvements in logistics and compliance Support cost optimization initiatives and reporting Promote best practices across logistics and compliance functions Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Experience Minimum 5 years in customs compliance, LMW regulations, and trade compliance Proven experience with MITI-approved compliance programs Strong background in logistics operations (freight, warehousing, shipping preferred) Skills & Competencies Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia Strong knowledge of Malaysian trade laws, AEO standards, and Incoterms ERP proficiency (SAP is an advantage) Detail-oriented, assertive, and highly organized Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Additional Information We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
