Job Title: Senior Logistics/Production Planner
Location: Samlesbury or Warton
Salary: £47,683.00+ depending on skills and experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Proven experience in Production planning, logistics, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel or planning software skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • A strategic mindset with excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams on the shop floor and beyond.
  • Applicants who already hold a professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/ Supply Chain institution or be willing to work towards one.
  • Understanding of Transport and Logistics processes including export controls.
  • Understanding of Inventory management policies and processes.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end production planning, coordinating with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed capacity plans, proactively balancing constraints to meet production targets.
  • Facilitate the demand forecasting and capacity planning, using data-driven insights to meet customer needs with operational capabilities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimise the supply chain, reduce lead times, and improve service levels.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices across production and logistics to support business growth.
