KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

PMS Interface

• The Senior Process Safety Engineer will, if serving in the Core Technical team, report to the FEED/Technical Core Manager via the Lead Process Engineer, or direct if appropriate. For service within the PMT Teams, the Senior Process Engineer will report to the Project Head/Senior Project Engineer via the Lead Process Engineer or direct if appropriate. The Senior Process Engineer will manage the output of engineer grade personnel working under his authority and will liaise with other discipline personnel in the Technical Core Team or PMT teams as appropriate to his area of service.
• Client reporting interface shall be via the FEED/Technical Core Manager for Technical Core Team service, or via the Project Head/Senior Project Engineer for PMT service.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Safety / Loss prevention for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects; or closely related project types.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or Process Engineering.

The Senior Process Safety Engineer may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMT project team environment. The Senior Process Engineer may have engineer grade process personnel under his responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel. The Senior Process Engineer may work under the supervision of a Lead Process Engineer in which case his responsibilities will be as delegated. The Senior Process Engineer may be in charge of any or all of the following tasks.
