UGL is seeking an experienced Senior M&E Planner to support the delivery of a major data centre construction project in Melbourne. This is a key role within a high‑performing project team, contributing to the safe, predictable and efficient delivery of complex, mission‑critical infrastructure. The Role As Senior M&E Planner, you will be responsible for the development, management and optimisation of detailed Mechanical & Electrical construction programmes, working closely with Project Controls, delivery teams and specialist subcontractors. You will play a critical role in providing certainty of outcomes across schedule, sequencing, interfaces and key milestones, supporting UGL’s commitment to reliable delivery and client confidence on technically complex projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain fully integrated M&E construction programmes from early works through commissioning and handover Lead detailed sequencing, logic development and interface management across mechanical, electrical and ICT scopes Work closely with construction, engineering and commercial teams to validate programme assumptions and delivery methodologies Identify programme risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation and recovery strategies to protect project outcomes Provide regular programme updates, look‑ahead schedules and performance reporting to senior stakeholders Working with the project controls manager and the commercial team, establish a procurement program. Monitor and set material safety stock levels in consultation with logistics. About You You bring strong technical planning capability, a collaborative mindset and a commitment to high‑quality outcomes. Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Planner delivering complex M&E packages on major construction projects Background in data centres, hospitals, life sciences, laboratories or large‑scale commercial developments Advanced capability in Primavera P6 (or equivalent), with a strong understanding of integrated master programmes Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge constructability and sequencing assumptions A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong attention to detail and accountability for outcomes Why Join UGL?
