This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare through advanced AI and machine learning. You will design and implement scalable ML infrastructure, lead model development, and collaborate across teams to integrate data-driven solutions into patient care workflows. The position combines technical leadership, data strategy, and innovation, providing a hands-on role in building production-grade AI pipelines and tools. You will influence healthcare outcomes by creating robust, fair, and reliable ML models, working closely with Product, Clinical, and Data teams in a fully remote environment. This role requires both technical excellence and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively across multidisciplinary teams. \n Accountabilities Lead AI initiatives and develop machine learning models to leverage organizational data effectively. Design, build, and maintain scalable ML infrastructure and pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment. Establish data engineering best practices and ensure accessibility and usability of data across teams. Champion responsible AI practices, including fairness, equity, and transparency in model development. Collaborate with Product, Clinical, Executive, Design, and Data teams to integrate ML solutions into workflows. Develop tools and frameworks to support analytics and data science teams, enhancing efficiency and scalability. Implement robust monitoring, observability, and evaluation systems to ensure model accuracy and reliability. Requirements 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on production-grade machine learning systems, MLOps, or backend infrastructure. Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong software engineering practices for maintainable ML code. Experience with developing and maintaining ML pipelines for training, evaluation, and deployment (experience with AWS Sagemaker or Bedrock preferred). Hands-on experience with modern LLMs, transformers, and production deployment of ML models. Familiarity with best practices in model versioning, experimentation, reproducibility, and infrastructure scalability. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to collaborate across distributed teams, and entrepreneurial mindset. Healthcare experience is valuable but not required.
