We’re looking for an experienced Senior Consultant Mainframe Developer to join our team, helping us innovate and maintain critical systems that drive value for our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of mainframe experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in COBOL, PL/I and JCL programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems, especially IMS and DB2.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Visio and change management tools (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Mainframe Developer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications that support our clients’ business needs. With a focus on COBOL, PL/I, and JCL, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that mainframe systems remain reliable, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, PL/I, and JCL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to optimize application performance.
  • Ensure mainframe systems comply with banking and financial industry regulations.
  • Utilize database management systems, particularly IMS and DB2, to enhance system functionality.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in mainframe development practices.
