QLD’s largest thoroughbred training and breeding operation, Aquis Farm, is seeking a full-time senior maintenance member to join our Canungra based farm.
Applicants must have several years’ experience working in maintenance and can demonstrate a proven ability to manage and lead a small team. They must also be energetic and motivated self-starters that have great communication skills and can carry out their work in a professional and proactive manner. The roster is 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.

• Overseeing staff management and associated administrative duties such as supporting the payroll team with timesheets and approving staff leave and expenses
• Performing general handyman tasks such as building and repairing fences and performing basic carpentry/cabinetry installation and repairs
• Performing basic maintenance, service and repairs on farm vehicles, equipment and machinery
• Cleaning and maintenance of the horse swimming pools and water walkers
• Welding and operating chainsaws
• Operating bobcats, tractors, out front mowers
• Garden and lawn maintenance including hedging and whipper snipping
• Undertaking regular inspections of the farm residences, escalating and acting on any urgent issues and/or repairs
• Other general maintenance/farm hand responsibilities
  If you have at least five years professional maintenance experience, can operate large scale maintenance equipment and are physically fit and willing to roll your sleeves up and give any job a go, then this is just the role for you.
