Job Summary The Senior Maintenance Engineer oversees the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation and other building systems. This position is responsible for evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining what installation or repair services need to be performed. Coordinates and integrates maintenance engineering functions with those of the design, maintenance, engineering, and operations departments. Job Responsibilities 1 Develop and implement maintenance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and facilities. Lead a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve high performance and adherence to safety standards. Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment reliability. Coordinate with production, operations, and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and support operational needs. Analyze equipment performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs. Manage maintenance budgets, expenditures, and contracts, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources and compliance with financial targets. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness. Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting complex equipment issues and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement improvement projects, capital investments, and reliability initiatives to support organizational goals. Excellent analytical abilities to analyze equipment performance data, identify root causes of issues, and implement solutions for improved reliability. Budget management and financial acumen to oversee maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation. Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve maintenance objectives and support operational needs.
