Description
The Borders Lodge in Beaver Creek is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing, and troubleshooting systems, tools, and equipment to ensure the property’s buildings, grounds, irrigation, and utilities are in excellent condition. You’ll also provide guidance and training to fellow engineering staff on specific projects, helping uphold high standards for both guest satisfaction and association maintenance. Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect and evaluate systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, AV, fire, restaurant, etc.) to ensure proper functioning and identify issues or potential improvements
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs in units, common areas, pools, and other property facilities
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures using available resources to determine causes and recommend effective repair or replacement solutions
  • Respond promptly to work orders from guests, owners, and staff, ensuring timely resolution
  • Maintain organized, clean workspaces and storerooms; ensure tools and equipment are properly stored
  • Support and help implement preventative maintenance software; assist team in tracking and managing asset upkeep
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and project updates

Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay Rate: $30 - $34/hour depending on experience
Schedule: 5 days per week, including holidays and weekends with some flexibility on shift hours

Minimum Requirements

  • One of the following:
  • A bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field with hands-on experience
  • A certificate from a college or trade school in facilities maintenance or similar, plus 3-6 years of relevant experience and/or training
  • Active status as a licensed or apprentice plumber or HVAC technician
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using available materials, tools, and independent research
  • Solid knowledge of engineering principles as applied to facility systems, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Analytical ability to evaluate building systems and identify issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • A self-motivated, proactive mindset with a strong ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively
