Senior Maintenance Manager / Head of Maintenance (MEP)
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Maintenance Manager to oversee small projects (up to £100K) and maintenance operations across our client portfolio. This leadership role requires technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, fire, and security disciplines, along with strong management and client communication skills. You will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, leading site managers and supervisors, and fostering a strong safety culture.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Management Qualifications: Minimum Level 5 ILM Diploma in Management or equivalent.
  • Industry Certification: NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire, or security).
  • Operational & Compliance Expertise: Experience with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards, third-party accreditations (NICEIC, Gas Safe, NSI, etc.), and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership & Reporting: Proven ability to lead teams, produce management reports, and communicate complex information effectively.
  • Financial & Risk Management: Understanding of financial reporting, governance, audits, and risk management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships with internal and external partners.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
  • Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
