Description

Fantastic opportunity for an individual to join a thriving FMCG / Food company (one of the largest in Ireland, and the most Modern) with the recruitment of a Maintenance Manager.
This is a Permanent role - Head Office is based in Enniskillen.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years’ management experience in manufacturing, ideally FMCG.
  • Proven leadership and change management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and project management.
  • Systematic approach to H&S, environmental, and asset management.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and adaptability.
  • Strong organisational and budget control skills.
  • Proficient in CMMS, project tools, and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Skilled in problem-solving methods (MBR, 5 WHY, FMECA).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Site Engineering Manager in delivering the maintenance strategy by working closely with Engineering Leads. Ensure plant and equipment reliability to meet business needs, while driving the implementation of the Group Maintenance Strategy and building a high-performing maintenance team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily operations of the site maintenance team.
  • Lead and deliver the Group Maintenance Strategy through effective team leadership.
  • Manage a multi-skilled team to exceed KPIs with a focus on preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Achieve 95%+ machine availability and 98%+ PPM compliance.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with production teams.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen and CI initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams on maintenance priorities.
  • Conduct technical reviews with leadership and liaise with external suppliers.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training and development.
  • Maintain accurate asset records and system backups.
  • Develop and train staff in Standard Work and SOPs.
  • Prioritise tasks through risk assessment.
  • Manage engineering spend within budget.
  • Ensure parts availability in coordination with Site Stores and PPM requirements.
  • Oversee contractor management and Permit to Work compliance.
  • Manage team attendance and performance using Kronos.
  • Handle conflicts and disciplinary actions in line with company policy.
