Maintenance Technician
York Region, Ontario
We are hiring an Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of our plant’s equipment in York Region, Ontario
This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing downtime. The successful Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible for a wide range of duties, from performing preventative maintenance to conducting emergency repairs on high-speed packaging machines, conveyor systems, and other plant equipment.
This position requires a Maintenance Technician with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Experience with Tetra Pak machines is a significant advantage, and the ability to work independently to diagnose and solve problems is a must-have skill.
This is a unionized role with a competitive compensation package. This is a full-time, permanent Maintenance Technician opportunity in York Region Ontario
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in the food, pharmaceutical, or plastics industry is required.
Experience with Tetra Pak or similar solid-liquid filling or packaging manufacturing backgrounds is a huge asset.
Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of conveyor and packaging equipment, with the ability to read and understand technical drawings is essential.
Location: Commuting to the facility in York Region, Ontario is a must.
