POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a seasoned Maintenance Technician with 3–5+ years of experience who is ready to take ownership of ongoing maintenance, emergency repairs, and renovation work across a portfolio of Boston properties. This individual will play a key role in maintaining building systems, supporting capital projects, and leading by example in delivering high-quality service and safety.
Compensation: 70,000 - 80,000+ Double time and a half

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on maintenance/facilities experience
  • Advanced knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing)
  • Strong emergency response skills and ability to troubleshoot under pressure
  • State trade licenses or certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred
  • Familiarity with property management software and digital work orders
  • Ability to work independently and supervise less experienced technicians as needed
  • Physically capable of lifting 50–100 lbs and managing strenuous tasks
  • Willingness to float between sites and work occasional non-traditional hours

Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced repairs and troubleshooting in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Lead and complete larger renovation projects including high-quality interior/exterior painting.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance of mechanical and life safety systems.
  • Oversee vendors and assist in managing on-site contractors.
  • Act as a key resource for after-hours emergency response during on-call rotation.
  • Monitor inventory and equipment; recommend replacements and upgrades.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with facilities and property management staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal protocols.
  • On Call Schedule ( Once every six weeks)
