About the opportunity The Senior Management Accountant is responsible for providing business reporting, value add business partnering and accounting / financial services and business support functions to Mercy Residential Aged Care. The role will assist the Finance Manager Residential Aged Care (FMRAC in ensuring all controls, business / financial processes and procedures are in place and accordance with Mercy Health Group Finance Policies / Procedures What you’ll bring It takes a special kind of person to work in healthcare or community services. Ensuring month end close / year end & other statutory reporting happens in a timely, accurate, well understood and compliant manner. Development of annual budgets for relevant Residential Aged Care regions, including presentation at Regional Management meetings as required. Preparation of regular and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support operational management and performance improvement. Assist in ensure the continued development and constant review of financial & operational reporting across all levels of Residential Aged Care is timely, accurate and informative & fit for purpose for the selected audience. Actioning annual pricing changes for Mercy Residential Aged Care revenue streams Ensuring that knowledge of the legislation is up to date, current, included Provision of quality business management support to the relevant operational managers. Provide leadership and support for direct reports. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a varied group of stakeholders. Not less than 5 years’ experience in an accounts or finance role with a proven ability to develop and meet operational and budgetary objectives with a positive ‘can-do’ approach. Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
