About the Role

Clarity Partners is looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join a leading Australian mining company operating internationally.


This role will provide high-level financial and commercial support across the business. You will be responsible for management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, while partnering closely with operational teams to understand performance, identify trends and provide insights that support better commercial decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management and Group Executive reporting, including financial analysis and commentary.
  • Analyse business and project performance, profitability, costs and key financial drivers.
  • Conduct variance analysis against budgets, forecasts and prior periods.
  • Provide financial insights and commercial support to operational stakeholders.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting across allocated business areas.
  • Complete month-end accounting, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review inventory and lease accounting processes.
  • Provide financial modelling and ad hoc analysis to support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and reporting processes.


About You

  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • 5+ years' accounting experience, ideally within a medium to large organisation or ASX-listed environment.
  • Strong management accounting, financial reporting and commercial analysis experience.
  • Experience in mining & resources production is essential.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems capability; SAP experience advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and confident working with senior stakeholders.
