THE POSITION:

MAG is seeking an energetic, motivated, detail and team oriented professional to support the Transportation Division’s Administration and Resource Management function. Main responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate preparation and execution of MAG technical and/or policy committee meetings, including Regional Council, Regional Council Executive Committee, Management Committee, and/or Transportation Policy Committee.
  • Prepare and distribute committee agenda materials, public meeting notices, and set-up for committee and stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide budget review, management of on-call procurement lists and task orders, assistance with general procurement activities and contract management, oversight of transportation project tracking, and coordination of travel requests within the division.
  • Write and review a variety of written material, including reports, correspondence, memorandums, information summaries, policies, requests for proposals, task orders, and contracts.
  • Create and present meaningful data visualizations and presentations.
  • Conducts research and data analysis with minimal supervision; coordinates with internal teams as necessary.
  • Build relationships with MAG member agencies, stakeholders, and other regional entities through meetings, presentations, and networking.
  • Draft documentation for procedures and processes.
  • Act as the agency Title VI Coordinator.
  • Facilitate division-wide training and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Supports and manages special projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Political Science, Statistics, Urban Planning, or related field. At least 3 years of related work experience, such as procurement, project management, or similar. Experience with federal funding and transportation project management a plus.
