  • Lead and mentor a team of IT infrastructure architects, providing technical guidance, career development, and fostering collaboration within merger, acquisition, separation, and transformation (M&A) projects.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards and best practices across IT infrastructure domains, ensuring consistency in networking, data center operations, and server management.
  • Spearhead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and frameworks that enhance IT infrastructure integration in merger, acquisition, separation, and transformation (M&A) scenarios.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, engineering, and merger, acquisition, separation, and transformation (M&A) teams to ensure IT infrastructure architecture aligns with broader business and integration strategies.
  • Assess and mitigate architectural risks associated with IT infrastructure consolidation, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption during merger, acquisition, separation, and transformation (M&A) activities.
  • Oversee resource allocation, ensuring the right networking, data center, and server expertise is applied to each project.
  • Drive continuous improvement of IT infrastructure processes, tools, playbooks, and frameworks to keep the organization at the forefront of merger, acquisition, separation, and transformation (M&A) technology.
  • Serve as a thought leader in IT infrastructure architecture, contributing to industry forums, conferences, and client engagements related to merger, acquisition, separation, and transformation (M&A) IT strategy.

CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • Analyze existing IT infrastructure, including networking, data centers, server environments, and enterprise cloud platforms, to assess integration feasibility in transactions.
  • Develop comprehensive road maps for IT infrastructure transformation post-transaction, ensuring seamless integration of networks, data centers, and computing environments.
  • Align IT infrastructure initiatives with business objectives, recommending the most suitable networking, cloud, data center and on-premises solutions for clients.
  • Design execution plans for IT infrastructure consolidation, including networking optimization, server migrations, and data center integration.
  • Develop change management strategies to support the adoption of new IT infrastructure solutions across merged organizations.
  • Conduct due diligence on IT infrastructure capabilities of acquired entities, evaluating risks, scalability, financial models, and integration complexity.
  • Regularly update leadership on IT infrastructure integration progress, ensuring transparency in risk management and execution timelines.
  • Communicate IT infrastructure solutions effectively to clients, ensuring clarity in post-merger technology strategy.
  • Scope IT infrastructure integration projects, including defining workstreams, developing statements of work (SOWs), and creating staffing models to support initiatives and programs.
