REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate should preferably:-

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Maritime Operations, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Has at least 10 years of relevant experience in a managerial role, with a proven track record of delivery results in senior leadership or management positions;
  • Demonstrate exemplary executive leadership and general management capabilities;
  • Exhibit strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Display excellent interpersonal communication skills, with expertise in change management; and
  • Showcase strategic thinking and strong analytics abilities to drive decision-making and business outcomes.
Responsibilities

Candidates are expected to:-

  • Lead and manage the Fleet Operations portfolio of activities and teams effectively so as to achieve the required business and organisational outcomes;
  • Work in close partnership with Fleet Engineering, Fleet QHSSE, Fleet Sustainability and the Fleet Data and Digital teams and workstreams to enhance current processes, implement improvements and develop new processes;
  • Ensure the required turn-out of harbour crafts (e.g. container vessels, harbour tugs, water supply barges and pilot launches) for operational deployment;
  • Emplace the required strategies, plans and processes to ensure the Fleet is operationally ready for current and future business needs;
  • Emplace the appropriate people, supply chain management, innovation, branding and organisational development strategies to ensure the Fleet is well-placed to thrive and succeed in a volatile, uncertain, chaotic, ambiguous and disrupted (VUCAD) world;
  • Emplace the desired resource optimisation approaches and business continuity measures to ensure the Fleet remains resilient and functional in times of major disruptions;
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders in both local and overseas entities and environments to achieve the required business and organisational outcomes;
  • Work alongside trade unions, government ministries, regulatory bodies, industry associations, technology providers, institutes of higher learning and relevant stakeholders to achieve the required business and organisational outcomes; and
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
