Roles & Responsibilities

Position: Financial Controller

Experience: 10–12 years

Industry: Contracting / Construction

Location: Bahrain

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, financial statements, cash flow, and management reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor project costing, profitability, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
• Manage financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to management for business decisions.
• Monitor internal controls and identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
• Supervise and guide the finance and accounts team.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.

• Requirements
• Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in a contracting/construction company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and project costing.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Candidates with relevant Bahrain/GCC experience will be preferred.
