Create your best future and join the Everyday Banking Consumer team What’s the role? This is a senior Line 1 risk role embedded within Everyday Banking, Consumer. You’ll partner closely with Product and Pricing leaders to identify, assess, and manage non‑financial risks, supporting safe commercial decision‑making in line with risk appetite and regulatory obligations. The role is outcome‑focused. You’ll anticipate risks early, lead incident and issue management, uplift controls, and translate complex risk insights into clear, practical advice for senior stakeholders. You’ll make an impact by enabling the business to deliver for customers while managing risk responsibly, and you’ll own outcomes end‑to‑end in a fast‑moving product environment. This is a permanent fulltime Sydney‑based role with flexible working arrangements (2 days in office). What do I need? Strong experience in risk management within banking or financial services, ideally in a Line 1 role Solid understanding of non‑financial risk frameworks, controls, incidents and issues management Proven ability to lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and remediation Commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer, risk and business outcomes Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and operating autonomously Ability to step back, see the big picture, and provide clear, decision‑ready advice Why join us?
