Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring   What’s the role? You’ll play a key role in helping Westpac Institutional Bank identify, manage and uplift risk practices across the division. Working closely with the Executive Manager, Business Controls & Monitoring, you’ll support division wide risk programs and help teams understand what good looks like when it comes to risk management. This role is hands-on and collaborative. You’ll work across WIB and the wider Group to run thematic reviews, coordinate read across and root cause activities, and support clear, consistent risk practices. You’ll help shape risk profiles, support risk appetites, and ensure insights from incidents, issues and reviews lead to real improvements. You’ll also contribute to executive level reporting and forums, sharing insights and learnings in a practical, people‑focused way. This is a fulltime role, based in Sydney, with three days in the office to connect with the wider team.   What do I need? To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a practical, solutions focused approach to risk and strong stakeholder skills. You’ll also have: * Experience working with risk, control or compliance frameworks in a complex organisation. * The ability to identify emerging risks and translate issues into clear insights and actions. * Strong collaboration skills and confidence working with senior leaders and diverse teams. * Sound judgement, attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving. * The ability to manage competing priorities and stay calm in a fast moving environment.   Why join us?
