Our client, a leading Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development to drive strategic marketing and business development initiatives for its Investigations and White Collar Defense (IWCD) practice, as well as other key litigation groups. This role is ideal for a dynamic, proactive business development professional with deep litigation marketing experience and a collaborative mindset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, law, or related field (required)
  • Minimum 10 years of professional marketing and business development experience, with at least 5 years in a law firm or professional services setting
  • Demonstrated success supporting Litigation practices, preferably with experience in Investigations or White Collar Defense
  • Strong leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence and drive initiatives
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with marketing platforms, CRM systems, and experience databases
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills with exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with practice group leaders, attorneys, and internal teams to develop and execute tailored business development and marketing strategies
  • Support client initiatives by identifying growth opportunities and gathering market intelligence and competitive insights
  • Prepare customized, high-quality pitch materials, RFP responses, and proposals aligned with strategic goals
  • Collaborate with global business development teams to identify and advance cross-practice and cross-border opportunities
  • Manage and update marketing collateral, including practice descriptions, case studies, web content, and rankings submissions
  • Evaluate and manage sponsorships, events, and partnership opportunities ensuring ROI and visibility
  • Lead submissions for industry awards, directories, and rankings
  • Plan and oversee client events, CLE programs, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Coordinate with communications teams on media outreach, PR, and digital content relevant to IWCD and litigation practices
  • Contribute to improving business development operations, processes, templates, and best practices
