THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Vice President Corporate Development, Applied Research and International (CDARI), the Senior Manager, Business Development Imperial Energy Innovation Centre (IEIC) will be providing expert guidance to support the business aspects and revenue focused activities of the Imperial Energy Innovation Centre.
This individual plays a critical role in contributing to the development and execution of Go-To-Market initiates, that drive sales and delivery to achieve the Imperial Energy Innovation Centre’s strategic revenue and margin goals. Working within a strategic managing team with the Director, Applied Research & Innovation Services (ARIS) and IEIC Scientific Lead, this role will act as a subject matter expert on business-facing activities and advises on commercialization approaches in the IEIC, while working synergistically with the Applied Research labs within the Imperial Energy Innovation Centre.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE



    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BComm), with an MBA or relevant Masters in Petroleum Engineering or Chemical Engineering

    • 10+ years Enterprise selling experience mandatory, ideally within services.
    • Proven track record in supporting to lead sales teams, developing GTM strategies, and operating in Leadership level roles
    • Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
    • Strong understanding of business, pricing, value selling, senior-level negotiations, proposal writing, deal structuring
    • Familiarity with combustion tube testing, thermal EOR methods (e.g., SAGD, ISC), and reservoir simulation techniques

      Responsibilities


        • Leads the development of insights and recommendations that inform the Go-To-Market strategy and management of ‘Client Life Cycle’, in collaboration with senior leadership.

        • Supports business development outcomes including IEIC Revenue target (IORL & Energy Lab) and IEIC expenses through expertise in commercial modeling, client relations, and market intelligence.
        • Provide expert insight and guidance in influencing IEIC Client Relations, while Identifying and engaging upstream oil and gas clients (e.g., operators, service companies, R&D divisions) who require combustion tube testing, thermal EOR research, and reservoir simulation data.
        • Act as a subject matter expert in supporting in prospect identification and advising on overall strategic account management and approaches across all SAIT teams who interact with the client.
        • Work across Applied Research & Innovation Services’ CERCUTS Centre to integrate innovation, ideas and concepts into ever expanding profit business lines.
        • Attend, host and network across relevant Conferences and Events.
