Mō te tūranga | About the role As Senior Manager Business Performance you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the organisation and tracking progress against performance goals. This role integrates performance analytics, operational insights, and strategic planning to drive business improvement and transformation. The Senior Manager leads a team who produce regular, high-quality performance reports and actionable insights for senior leadership, collaborates across business units, and ensures that all reporting aligns with long-term organisational objectives. You will foster a data-driven culture, and translate complex data into clear, executive-level stories and recommendations. Ko tō mahi | What you’ll do Maintain and evolve frameworks for tracking organisational performance against strategic goals. Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks. Produce regular, insightful performance reports for senior leadership and stakeholders. Lead efforts to analyse data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies. Collaborate with business units and value chains to drive joined up decision making. Provide data driven insights to refine productivity strategy and inform executive and board decisions. Lead cross functional teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring? 10+ years’ experience in data, insights, and/or business performance within large, complex organisations Expertise in creating reporting insights for sound decision making. Ability to tell effective, insights-based stories to executives. Deep experience writing Executive and Board-level papers and strategy updates. Passion for data visualisation and innovative reporting techniques. Enables performance, influences and collaborates, executes for continuous improvement. Strong senior stakeholder management and communication skills. Proven project leadership and delivery discipline. Ability to work independently within agreed frameworks and deliver results. Deep knowledge of the banking or financial services sector.
