Description:

Our Advisory and Financial Control team is pivotal in guiding and supporting stakeholders through the entire investment lifecycle within the Macquarie Capital Principal Finance and Macquarie Capital Venture Capital businesses.

What role will you play?
As a Senior Manager in Capital Finance, you will be instrumental in advising on the accounting implications of various transactions to Macquarie Capital. You will partner with the Principal Finance business on their data transformation strategy to capture, store and transform data in a single source environment.
This role involves researching and documenting key accounting considerations for principal debt/equity investments and other complex transactions. You will also provide oversight of financial control aspects of the investment portfolio working with our global teams to ensure accurate reporting with opportunities to lead improvement initiatives and enhance efficiency.

What you offer

  • Chartered Accountant equivalent qualification, with 7-9 years of post-qualification experience in the financial services or private equity industry
  • Strong foundation in technical accounting and financial control, with the ability to apply IFRS and FRS knowledge in a transaction environment. Experience with IFRS 9, IFRS 10, and IAS 28 is particularly valued
  • Proven capability in finance process improvement is valued
  • Proven capability to manage competing priorities effectively, employing a risk-based mindset and adhering to tight deadlines
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with business units and other group areas to achieve desired outcomesOutstanding communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring clarity and precision in all aspects of the role.
