Job Description About the role As the Senior Manager, Carbon and Climate, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of frameworks, tools, and guidance related to Greenhouse Gas emissions, carbon accounting, and climate change risk management across the Avery Dennison enterprise. As a member of the Carbon and Climate Center of Expertise, you will collaborate across business unit, geographic, and functional boundaries to deliver our scope 1, 2, and 3 reduction targets and net-zero ambition. This role is critical in driving our enterprise sustainability goals, ensuring compliance with emerging global disclosure regulations, and generating business value from sustainability. Key Responsibilities GHG Reduction - development of reduction strategy and targets across scope 1, 2, and 3 Collaborate with Procurement and Innovation teams to drive reductions in scope 3 GHG emissions Support Regional/Business Unit sustainability teams through creation of common frameworks, strategies, and approaches GHG Accounting and Assurance - coordinate scope 3 accounting approach and assurance process Identify and pursue opportunities to drive business value from sustainability and decarbonization Qualifications 9+ years of experience in Sustainability, and/or relevant Innovation, Consulting, or a related field Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred) Deep knowledge of greenhouse gas protocol and Scope 3 methodology Track record of delivering results on complex projects in matrixed environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills across regions, levels, and functions.
