Reporting to Director-level or above leaders, this role provides leadership oversight to Manager-level leaders and ensures consistent execution of care management workflows, discharge planning, and regulatory requirements. The Senior Manager serves as a primary operational leader responsible for performance accountability, workflow standardization, compliance, and leadership development, and functions as a key escalation point for operational and performance-related concerns while supporting the implementation of department, division, and system priorities across assigned Care Management teams. Primary duties and responsibilities: 1. Providing operational oversight across assigned multi-Care Management services (including Inpatient Care Management, Post Acute Services and/or Behavioral Health Crisis as needed). 2. Directly supervising Manager-level Care Management leaders as assigned. 3. Coaching, developing, training, and managing the performance of manager-level leaders. 4. Ensuring department, division, and system strategic goals are effectively connected to daily operational work. 5. Serving as a primary escalation point for operational, staffing, and performance-related issues. 6. Maintaining accountability for operational performance metrics including length of stay, avoidable days, readmissions, care progression, productivity, as well as key organization priorities. 7. Identifying operational variation and performance gaps and implementing corrective action plans in collaboration with Care Management leadership. 8. Ensuring standardized execution of care management workflows, policies, and documentation practices across teams. 9. Working collaboratively with Care Management Leadership, Physician Advisors, nursing leadership, operations, and revenue cycle teams to address barriers to discharge and care progression. 10. Effectively communicating and organizing workflow to support interdisciplinary coordination. 11. Collaborating with Care Management Leadership to implement new policies, procedures, and system initiatives. 12. Overseeing compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 13. Ensuring Care Management systems and EEMR tools are utilized as designed, including staying current with system updates and upgrades. 14. Monitoring quality and productivity standards to support sustained operational performance. Additional Duties as Assigned. Travel: Less than 10% of the time may be required. Work Type: Hybrid employee - Primarily in office with occasional work from home as needed. Minimum Required Qualifications: Education - Master's degree required in nursing, social work, or related field Experience - 7 years minimum experience with at least 5 years in healthcare setting. Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership position. Licensure - Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board; LMSW/LCSW will be accepted in lieu of RN requirements. Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required): - Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead. - Demonstrates leadership abilities.
