Description This position could be based in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore Job overview and responsibilities The Pricing Manger is a strategic partner in supporting the management team by managing price to optimize sales revenues and profits. The Pricing Manager leads a team of pricing analysts to develop, evaluate and implement pricing strategies, capacity settings, BSA strategies, allocation management and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics. This position will be expected to provide business recommendations for pricing best practices across the global network. Responsibilities include: day to day operation and leadership of the organization’s Pricing team; development of pricing models that maximize profit and win probability; coordination with members of the Sales staff and their peers in the Americas/EMEIA organization to develop basis of estimates; and development of staff to support a broad range of contracts and pricing methodologies for best practices for capacity planning and allocation management. The RM regional head is also a key role for managing United’s desire in managing online tools such as AI pricing models and therefore supports IT teams with several projects. Develops regional specialization within team members to better support partnering and improved speed to market in pricing business processes and decision parameters with field-based Revenue Management team members. Devise and implement a pricing strategy that takes into account potential customer demand according to seasonal period, in order to optimize the yield and to maximize sales revenue while instituting a permanent “watch” to determine the company’s positioning (yield and volume) within the market and to make adjustments if required. Analyze and assess a variety of data (competitor products, schedules, volume forecasts, pricing data, and other market information) to develop and recommend alternative inventory and pricing strategies for the market assigned Assist the Revenue Management analyst’s in ad hoc real time business decisions and provide support through analysis Participate in projects to develop and implement new concepts, approaches, techniques, and tools to improve cargo yield management planning and operating performance This position is offered on local terms and conditions.
