This is a grant-funded contractual position. Responsibilities You will be responsible to supervise project activities related to field and data management to ensure quality control, while maintaining good working relationship with staff, community and various stakeholders involved. Specific responsibilities include to: Overseeing the selection and establishment of outreach (Field) sites for various research projects, this includes project management, coordination with AKU’s support departments for timely execution, and ensuring compliance with Housing and Construction Department guidelines; develop and improve operational procedures; supervise outreach and administrative teams; coach junior staff for development; monitor, evaluate and improve operating procedures of all administrative functions of the Division; supervise and develop Administrative Teams of Outreach and Research, Admin team. This includes on-job coaching of juniors for capacity development; developing and implementing a more robust and user-friendly system to ensure greater facilitation to the faculty and investigators; lead the fleet management of AKU-owned and rented vehicles as per project requirements across the country; coordinate with support department of AKU to complete the requirement of the project within the required timelines; this also involved the overall supervision of drivers and their duties; spearheading national and international travel arrangements for research staff, including accommodation, hotel bookings, and transport (road and air travel); leading the organization of national and international events such as meetings, conferences, seminars, visits, and webinars, while ensuring proper budgeting, logistics, finance, and cost management; strengthening strategic relationships with key stakeholders at national and international levels, including government bodies, community representatives, granting agencies, and research administration societies; conducting monitoring visits to field sites nationwide to ensure adherence to university policies and guidelines. Requirements You should have: Master’s degree in business/economics/administrative sciences. international certifications will add weight to the application; minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably within research or healthcare settings; strong networking and interpersonal skills; excellent organizational and time management skills; effective leadership and team management capabilities; outstanding communication (oral and written) skills; resilience to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other operational management tools; willingness to travel frequently, including to remote rural areas.
