Working alongside our customers, we’re enabling patient safety efforts, realizing staff and task efficiencies, strengthening care coordination, and enhancing the clinician and patient experience. All while unifying Baxter devices and applications on one modern platform.
The Senior Manager Clinical Informatics supports the Northeast/Mid Atlantic Region, developing clinical sales strategies to drive sales across Baxter’s US Connected Care sales organization in the aimed at growing industry market share and bridging the gap between clinical and IT personnel at healthcare organizations. They will lead the development of clinical relationships with healthcare institutions for large, complex connectivity sales opportunities. The role will focus on collaborating, assessing, and presenting clinical strategies and findings to hospital executive clinical leadership and serve as an integral part of the regional sales team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Customer engagements: Engage with clinical leaders, (CNO, CNE, CNIO) and develop relationships as a trusted clinical advisor by listening to and understanding their needs, and how it relates or could be impacted by our Connected Care Solutions offerings and strategy.
  • Consultative: Collaborate and assist sales in identifying solutions while maintaining required guidelines of device performance for communication, workflow enhancements, connectivity and safety that will meet the needs of the hospital and clinical leaders
  • Product Knowledge: Provide customers with an overview and understanding of how our connected platform will help achieve connectivity of their full eco system through nurse call, mobile communication, device alert and alarm management as well as connectivity of bed and device data collection and visualization.
  • .Productivity: Development and maintenance of Clinical Workflow assessment tools, collection, and input into the tool, analysis of the data and creation of executive summary that provides clinical insights, workflow observations, and identification of Key Performance Indices.
  • Collaboration: Support sales and implementation teams as a customer liaison for Clinical Implementation team’s transition.
  • Connectivity Support: Work with front-line IT and clinical compliance staff within client organizations to document existing workflows and the policies supporting existing practices. Acts as an informed clinical/IT liaison bringing clinical expertise and input to clinical program design.
  • Presentation Skills: Pre-sale clinical presentations and support, providing clinical insights. Capable of detailing all product Lines and Services that delivers a clinical value proposition with maximum impact within a C-suite environment.
  • Leadership support: Support the sales leadership, including Assistant Vice Presidents and Regional Sales Managers in their development and deployment of strategic master plans within their territories related to the connectivity portfolio. This role requires clinical, technical and informatics focus.
  • Marketing Support: Cross collaborative engagement with Marketing and Product teams as the “voice of the customer” regarding current practice guidelines and initiatives seen in the field.
  • Education: Stay current on clinical trends economics, policies, and practices within the healthcare industry. Support and educate sales and marketing teams in understanding how these trends impact the business portfolio offerings.
  • Healthcare economics: Understand healthcare economic data to develop territory business plans to meet/exceed assigned sales goals.
