JOB DESCRIPTION:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics to join our US Surgical Vision team located in Irvine, CA or Jacksonville, FL.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in translating insights into growth strategies for our US Surgical Vision team. You will foster a data-driven culture within the organization and ensure that insights are transformed into aligned commercial strategies and actions with speed and agility. This role requires the establishment of a robust data foundation, enabling an interactive reporting suite that addresses key business questions and identifies valuable insights.
This position will report to the Senior Director, US Commercial Operations and collaborate closely with the Selling and Marketing organizations of Surgical Vision.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s Degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years total business experience including 5 years of progressive experience in Analytics, Strategy Development, Marketing, or Finance is required. Med Device and/or healthcare sector is preferred.
  • Proven ability to synthesize and interpret data into meaningful recommendations.
  • Experience in creating Tableau Dashboards is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the capability to reconcile external and internal data sources.
  • Expertise in one or more data systems (Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, R, Python) and exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous ownership of developing and delivering commercial strategies is preferred.
  • Integration of Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision-making processes.
  • Experience in leading and delivering data engineering/analytics projects is required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% may be required.
    The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750.
    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
    Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
    Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year.
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year.
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.

  • Lead Commercial Analytics: Focus on critical business priorities such as business health, consignment optimization, contracting and pricing strategies, segmentation, new products, and sales force effectiveness.
  • Define Data Strategy: Enable clear visibility of performance drivers across all levels of the organization through an integrated data strategy.
  • Utilize Analytical Tools: Employ advanced analytical models and tools—including data discovery solutions, dashboarding suites, and statistical techniques—to create a single source of truth for analytics and performance metrics.
  • Identify Growth Strategies: Break down opportunities into clear actionable insights and translate strategies into actions for leadership, while developing tools to track key performance indicators.
  • Measure Dashboard Utilization: Apply a strategic approach to assess dashboard utilization and engagement across the commercial organization.
  • Sales Force Effectiveness: Partner with the National Sales Director and Marketing teams to enhance and manage Sales Force Effectiveness programs.
  • Develop Organizational Capabilities: Cultivate emerging talent and build a strong leadership pipeline across JJSV.
  • Lead a Dynamic Team: Manage a team of 1 manager and 4 analysts to drive strong engagement and impactful results.
