This is a senior leadership role with broad exposure across market conduct, business products, merchant and interchange activity, and Institutional Banking & Business (IBB). You’ll lead a high‑performing team, provide strong independent challenge, and work closely with senior stakeholders to embed practical, effective compliance across the organisation. As Senior Manager Commercial Compliance, you will: Lead and develop a team of compliance professionals, building capability, accountability, and a strong risk and conduct culture Own commercial compliance oversight across market conduct, product governance, merchant/interchange, and IBB Provide trusted advice and constructive challenge to senior leaders on compliance obligations and conduct risk Oversee the identification, investigation, remediation, and reporting of compliance incidents and breaches Embed compliance frameworks and conduct risk controls into business operations and product lifecycles Monitor emerging regulatory change and assess impacts on products and customer outcomes Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and regulators, representing Westpac in industry forums where required Ensure timely escalation of issues and delivery of pragmatic, risk‑appropriate solutions Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
