JOB TITLE Senior Manager - Commercial | MAF Retail | Head Office Jordan ROLE SUMMARY The Senior Manager – Commercial is responsible for establishing sourcing strategies, leading cross-functional strategic sourcing and managing merchandizing teams. The role holder is responsible for managing and negotiating with suppliers to execute contracts and optimize opportunities. Finally, he/she is in charge of defining and implementing selection of assortment, definition of category profitability, and promotional national calendar. ROLE PROFILE Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing and merchandizing teams. Manage category suppliers to act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories; anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed. Manage and negotiate with suppliers to execute contracts and optimize opportunities. Helping to develop long-term country strategies and significantly influencing the cross-company project development. Define country strategic merchandise and assortment through product. Identify training needs and coordinate with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements. Ensure constant availability of the required competent staff to support the organization in meeting all its responsibilities, plans, and objectives. Monitor allocated budget to ensure compliance and take corrective measures when necessary. Develop necessary measures towards continuous reduction of the operational cost. Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in E- Commerce or Business Administration. Master’s degree in e-commerce, supply chain is a plus. 7 – 10 years of working experience in either category management or merchandize. E-commerce experience is required. English (Full professional proficiency - Required). Knowledge of Google Analytics.
