Reporting into the Head of External Communications, the primary role focus is to deliver and advise on strategic communication that builds trust and understanding of Rest’s purpose through strong reputation management and stakeholder engagement in service of our members. This role has a strong focus on consumer storytelling and raising Rest’s profile and brand, increasing member, employer and stakeholder engagement and understanding of Rest. This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract role. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities Implement Rest’s strategic communications and consumer PR approach, building organisational capability and relationships to represent Rest effectively in target markets. Develop and implement Rest’s Linked In and enterprise digital content strategy, with a focus on reputation management and audience engagement. Guide the creation of high-quality strategic comms content including media releases, speeches, social media posts, and video assets, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and messaging. Build and maintain strong relationships with media and other key stakeholders to drive positive engagement and elevate Rest’s profile. Collaborate closely with Rest’s employer and partnerships team to enhance communications with key employers, unions, and industry associations. Produce executive-level communications including speeches, presentations, and briefing documents. Provide strategic communication support across key projects to ensure alignment with broader business and reputational objectives, including reviewing and developing messaging frameworks for campaigns, announcements, and change programs. Support daily media relations and press office activities in collaboration with the Senior Manager Communications – Media Relations. Management of reputational issues as they arise.
