Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year Job Summary: The Senior Manager Community Engagement is a critical member of the Community Engagement team, helping to define and execute the company's community outreach. They are responsible for building brand presence, initiating and maintaining relationships and sponsorships with strategic nonprofit partners and community organizations, driving volumes for existing and targeted growth markets and audiences in the division, and connecting back to market hospital leadership to ensure awareness and alignment of community efforts. They develop and execute community programs/initiatives and are actively involved on community boards and highly visible at community events. The Community Relations Senior Manager assists in crafting major community outreach opportunities such as financial or in-kind giving and helps identify potential volunteer and community service opportunities for AdventHealth employees. They serve as supervisors for other Community Engagement team members, providing support, development and strategic direction where needed. They play a role in overseeing Community Engagement strategy for the division and specific markets/regions. They actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. You Will Be Responsible For: Actively seek, organize, and execute efforts to represent AdventHealth favorably in the community. Promote AdventHealth by working with members of the public and strategic community groups on projects that advance the community health objectives of the healthcare system. Develop and enhance relationships with external partners, including non-profit organizations, foundations, community influencers, business leaders and more. Seek out and activate sponsorship opportunities for events and programs that benefit the health of the surrounding community as defined by the Community Health Needs Assessment. Serve as a conduit between several assigned local markets and the community members in them, keeping leadership informed and engaged in efforts and initiatives that are strategic. Lead other Community Relations team members, providing strategic oversight and direction for the markets that their downline covers. Encourage team members in their growth plan, encouraging them to new tasks and mentoring each individually toward their full potential within their scope of work. Ensure market hospital leaders are kept abreast of community relations work, and plugged into strategic opportunities to speak, attend events, serve on boards, and be visible in their communities. Strategize with departmental leadership to develop annual goals and plans and ensure that these deliverables are tracked and met. What Will You Need: Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications-related discipline, e.g. English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing 5+ years of related experience working with the community and key leaders U.S. Passport (USPT) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with individuals, non-profit organizations and businesses. Well-connected in the community. Ability to express ideas clearly, logically and in an organized fashion. Well-organized and detail-oriented, able to work independently and prioritize. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage and lead a team. Strong writing, organization and interpersonal communications skills. Work knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
