Description

Cetera Financial Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation to lead the design, implementation, and administration of competitive, equitable, and performance-driven compensation programs. This role will play a key part in shaping enterprise-wide initiatives and ensuring alignment with business goals and talent strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Finance, Business, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation design, analysis, and program management.
• Proven leadership experience in managing compensation programs and cross-functional projects.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; experience with tools such as MarketPay or Oracle is a plus.
• Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High level of discretion, judgment, and ability to manage sensitive information.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the design and management of cash compensation (base and bonus) programs across all employee levels.
• Drive the annual pay review process in partnership with Talent Development and Finance, ensuring alignment with performance management and budget planning.
• Maintain and evolve the company’s job architecture, including job codes, leveling guides, and job descriptions in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
• Conduct market pricing and benchmarking, including survey participation, data analysis, and development of salary ranges and pay guidance materials.
• Manage compensation-related systems and vendor relationships.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure external job postings align with internal pay structures and market competitiveness.
• Serve as the primary compensation contact for HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition.
• Oversee compensation aspects of organizational changes, including M&A activity.
• Lead compensation governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and consultation to HR and business leaders on compensation practices and decisions.
• Translate complex compensation data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
