Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Manager, Competition Law Compliance * Permanent Full-time opportunity * Sydney based (preferably) but also open to Melbourne * Hybrid working model What’s the role? You’ll play a key role in the Competition Law Compliance function, working alongside subject matter experts to deliver advice that identifies and effectively manages competition law risk across the Westpac Group. In this role, you will support the ongoing implementation of the Group Competition Policy framework and lead the identification and management of competition law risk through proactive, timely and reliable advice. You will partner closely with divisional compliance, legal and risk teams across Consumer, Business & Wealth and Institutional Banking. The role also involves contributing to the development of controls and guidance materials, delivering tailored training, and supporting the Group’s engagement with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC). What do I need? * Experience in advising on legal and compliance matters across a broad range of Competition law matters, underpinned by suitable tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 3 years PQE. * Experience engaging with the ACCC on a variety of Competition law matters. * Demonstrated ability to take a pragmatic approach to providing timely compliance advice on Competition law issues. * Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with a range of diverse stakeholders. * Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts and advice simply and clearly. * An understanding of financial services or another highly regulated sector and experience of working within an in-house legal team would be an advantage Why join us?
