About the role As a multiple award- winning airline, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Group Legal Team as a Senior Manager- Competition in our office in Doha. In this role, you will support the Strategic Alliances and Loyalty Partnerships within QR Commercial Division and provide end-to-end support to review, analyze, draft and negotiate complex contracts related to competition laws, antitrust law and compliance, data privacy, cyber-security & technology contractual requirements in conjunction with User and Sponsor departments to protect the interests of, and meet the business requirements of, Qatar Airways Group. Your role will act as Group Legal point of contact for assisting with relationship management of selected User department(s) Accountabilities: Negotiation, development and management of strategic contracts in accordance with corporate requirements, supporting legal requirements and procedures to secure and protect the business interests of the company including wide variety of simple and complex commercial agreements in matters related to Contracts and in particular from the competition/antitrust law perspective. Establish Qatar Airways as an ethical contractor of services in a highly competitive market with fair price for exceptional service level. Negotiating, drafting and implementing a wide variety of complex, multiparty agreements, including mergers and acquisitions and strategic alliances. Develop and implement suggestions to contract policy and procedure revision and improvement. Review, resolve any disputes which come up and identify areas for improvement in company’s contracting processes. Identify and evaluate the risks arising from contractual positions and advise the business accordingly. Provide legal interpretations on Standard Terms and Conditions of Contracts. Advise on liability and legal exposure to the company. Administer the resolution of legal disputes through litigation or arbitration or settlement as appropriate to protect the company's legal remedies. Liaise with external lawyers on specific projects. Together, everything is possible About you You will possess: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 years of job-related experience Must be qualified as a lawyer in a recognized jurisdiction, preferably qualified in a common law jurisdiction Must have work experience in a law firm or dedicated legal environment Experience in crafting competition/antitrust advice and strategic guidance to achieve business goals. Has hands-on work in antitrust and competition law matters, including counselling internal clients, supporting competition/antitrust litigation and deals. Fluent English speaking and writing skills Strong legal drafting skills as well as excellent knowledge in contract and commercial negotiation relating to service and product agreements Ability to understand complex vendor contracts Proficiency in MS Office package, particularly MS Word Keen eye for detail and strong presentation skills Proven track record of handling complex issues and negotiation About Qatar Airways Group Our story started with four aircraft.
