Amperesand is disrupting industrial power with the first commercialized Solid State Transformer systems. Solid State Transformers systems are much more than a transformer replacement, enabling numerous advanced features to unlock solutions for data centers, EV charging, renewables, microgrids, and industrial installations. Responsibilities :
- Lead compliance and policy development for Solid State Transformer systems (SST)
- Work with stakeholders in NRTL’s, government, utilities, and industry to enable wide scale deployment of next generation SST capabilities to unlock grid and site benefits for charging, renewables, microgrids, and data centers
- Shape the product roadmap with design, product, validation, and supply chain teams
- Ensure product requirements meet compliance expectations to enable project success
- Drive FMEA and risk management in relation to compliance and product strategy
- Own and execute all compliance validation internally and with NRTL partners/labs
Lead software compliance including grid interfacing and cyber security to meet standardsBuild a complete compliance and policy team, Satellite NRTL testing capability where applicable, and ensure maximum product development acceleration. Ensure market acceptance for key customer segments while maintaining safety and adherence to compliance requirements
Qualifications :
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in compliance and policy for industrial power products
- 7+ years’ experience in compliance and policy, with 3 years’ experience in team leadership
- Outstanding knowledge of compliance and electrical fundamentals related to industrial products
- Exceptional experience working with Sales, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Applications and Project Engineering to drive harmonized and efficiently executed solutions for the customer
- Evidence of delivering strategic and tactical based compliance and policy solutions for highly technical power, electronics, and software integrated products
- Entrepreneurial mindset with clear bias for informed action and leading new initiatives with limited resources and support
- Significant understanding of electrical, mechanical, and civil works engineering for industrial installations including power circuits, protection systems, backup systems, software, metering, thermal design, site installation needs, commissioning, and related compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communications in English
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% including internationally
