QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
  • Experience in U.S. Government contracting
  • Experience as Contracts Lead and/or direct engagement with external customers

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Act as a lead for the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration
  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions
  • Implement strategies to improve acquisition timelines and customer pace of contractual actions
  • Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking creative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes
  • Review proposals to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, represent a balanced risk/opportunity posture and deliver a financially sound business case while meeting company policies and standards
  • Some international travel will be required to meet with the customer
