In this role as Senior Manager – Controllership, Key Accountabilities Lead accounting operations for Armstrong India legal entities and ensure accuracy of books. Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of financial statements and reporting packs. Prepare financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards. Support statutory, internal, and tax audits by preparing schedules and resolving queries. Act as gatekeeper for financial compliance under GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable laws. Collaborate with Operations, Sourcing, Sales, and HR to ensure accurate data for filings and monitor annual operating plans. Manage working capital and cash flow requirements to optimize liquidity. Maintain historical financial documentation and ensure audit-ready records. Periodically, liaising with statutory, tax, internal auditors and with consultants on GST, EDPMS/IDPMS, etc., Drive process improvements and implement changes based on internal audit observations. Participate in leadership forums and global controller community of practice to share and adopt best practices. Be a self-starter in driving standardization and automation across finance processes. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely and accurate month-end and year-end close (D+3 internal sign-off, D+5 management pack). Zero material audit observations and 100% statutory compliance. Working capital efficiency (DSO/DPO/DIO improvement targets). On-time filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and ROC returns. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you should bring: Education and Experience B.COM / M.B.A./ CA Inter / CA Final / CMA Inter / CMA Final with 12–15 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, compliance, and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, Income Tax, and Companies Act requirements. Technical Skills Hands-on experience in ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Soft Skills The capability to simplify complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations. Team-oriented leadership skills with a proactive approach.
